         При посадке моркови лентой не стоит тянуть со сроками. Ранние посевы полноценно используют весеннюю почвенную влагу и умеренно прохладную погоду, успешнее «убегают» от морковной мухи. Кроме того, создаётся запас времени, если всё-таки случится плохая всхожесть. Иногда морковка «выстреливает» уже через неделю, но и три недели (вплоть до месяца) не считаются криминальными. Для качественных семян овощей срок может затянуться из-за избыточного заглубления или затянувшейся холодной погоды. Иногда фирмы информируют о том, что ленточные семена предварительно обработаны стимуляторами (для улучшения показателей всхожести) и фунгицидами (от болезней). (Некоторые сообщают о довольно успешном опыте посадки семян моркови на ленте под зиму).

         Параметры посадки очень простые. На выравненной поверхности грядки проводим бороздки на расстоянии 20-25 см.          Траншейки засыпаем влажной землёй, слегка прихлопываем (либо прикатываем). Можно сверху аккуратно полить из леечки с мелким распылом. Важно обеспечить хорошее соприкосновение посадочного материала с почвой.

         Очень желательно покрытие сверху небольшим слоем мелкой мульчи либо укрывным материалом. Так лучше сохраняются влага и тепло.

    Полив

         Как часто надо поливать закопанные ленты до появления всходов? Всё очень индивидуально. Главное правило — земля должна быть постоянно умеренно влажной. Появления почвенной корки допускать нельзя.

    Оценка всхожести

         Многие овощеводы изготавливают посадочные полоски своими руками. В этом случае сначала надо проверить процент всхожести семян. Несколько семечек закладываем в увлажнённую хлопчатобумажную тряпочку, слегка оборачиваем полиэтиленом и выдерживают в тёплом (от +20 до +30 градусов) месте, не допуская пересыхания. Проклёвывание оцениваем не позднее десятого дня. Для наклеивания используют только семенной материал с хорошими показателями прорастания (лучше не менее 80 %; может быть и 100% — особенно у выращенных самостоятельно). Приклеивают сухие семена. Делают это в конце зимы либо начале весны.

    Как сделать клейстер

         Мягкую туалетную бумагу нарезаем полосками шириной пару-тройку сантиметров. Готовим клейстер:

    • Из муки: в стакан кипящей воды постепенно подсыпаем пару столовых ложек муки, слегка провариваем до загустения и охлаждаем.
    • Из крахмала: в стакан кипящей воды медленно вливаем растворённую в 50-ти мл воды столовую ложку крахмала, сразу снимаем с огня, остужаем.

         Можно предварительно нанести спичкой на бумагу капельки клейстера (на расстоянии 3-5 см, учитывая всхожесть и сорт) и увлажнённой спичкой или иголкой разложить по каплям семечки, подцепляя их по одному. А кому-то удобнее сразу окунать кончик спички в клейстер и затем захватывать семечко, подсаживая потом их вместе на бумагу.

         Готовые полоски сутки просушивают, затем сворачивают и хранят в сухом месте до начала сезона.

         Собственноручное приготовление посадочных морковных лент экономит семенной материал и денежные средства, гарантирует предсказуемое прорастание.
