Разведение вешенок
Можно, если вы уверены в том, что в ближайшие 3-4 года эта древесина останется не-востребованной. У пня лиственных пород необходимо спилить диск толщиной около 4 см и между поверхностью оставшегося пня и диском уложить мицелий (грибницу) слоем 1-2 см.

Предварительно часть грибницы разводят в 1-2 л теплой (+18-20°С) воды и смачивают поверхность пня и диска. Диск следует закрепить, можно 1-2 гвоздями. Чтобы предотвратить высыхание, пень укрывают травой, листьями или ветками. Максимальный урожай можно ожидать на 2-4-й год.

Подобным способом выращивают вешенки и на двух половинах ствола дерева (чурбаки расщепляют с помощью кольев).
