Черноплодная рябина
Черноплодную рябину сажают по краям участка, чтобы она играла еще и защитную роль. Кусты ее могут образовать густую изгородь, так как хорошо переносят стрижку.

Только стрижка не должна быть ежегодной, а раз в два-три года, чтобы ветки успевали отрастать и плодоносить. Такие кусты будут густыми и урожайными.

Кроме того, каждый раз после стрижки высота кустов должна быть на 10 —15 см выше предыдущего уровня.

Высота изгороди таким образом будет увеличиваться, но скоро настанет пора вырезать старые ветки, и можно будет снова снизить высоту.

У черноплодной рябины, как и у других кустарников, необходимо удалять старые ветки. Если этого не делать, кусты становятся высокими и прозрачными, дают мало ягод.

Ветки начинают вырезать, когда куст стал достаточно густым, несколько лет хорошо плодоносил и выпускает из середины много тонких побегов, годных на замещение.

У таких кустов можно выпиливать каждый год по одной или несколько самых старых веток, следя за общей густотой куста.

Черноплодную рябину можно специально не удобрять.

Поскольку растет она с краю, у канавы, ее мощные корни достают наносы ила. До нее доходят также питательные вещества с грядок, которые перемещаются к канаве с грунтовыми водами.

Поспевает эта ягода в конце августа и начале сентября. В это время ее могут обклевать дрозды, и если их появилось много, то придется установить внутри куста чучело.
