Размножают виноград одревесневшими однолетними побегами — черенками. Заготавливают их осенью, во врет осенней обрезки кустов. Черенки берут с сильных, хорошо вызревших побегов. Искривленные побеги, а также те, которые пострадали от болезней, вредителей, града, отбраковывают. Длина черенков 40-50 см, толщина не менее 6-8 мм. Их очищают от пасынков, усов, листьев, связывают в пучки и укладывают на хранение. В зимнее время хранят в подвале в умеренно влажном песке при температуре от 0°С до +4°С. Несколько черенков можно хранить в холодильнике в емкости с песком или опилками.
