Высаживание купены
Купена — многолетнее травянистое растение, в основном с четко видными, утолщенными корневищами. Стебли зеленые, дуговидно наклонные или поникающие, высотой до 90 см. Листья широкие, линейные, сидячие, с вытянутым основанием.

Цветки в пазухах листьев, одиночные либо в малоцветковых кистях. Околоцветник сросшийся, трубчатый или колокольчатый, белый, желтый, розовый или фиолетовый. Плод — темно-синяя ягода, напоминающая голубику.

Растение тенелюбиво, на освещенных местах хотя и развивается нормально, но стебли бывают меньших размеров. Сравнительно нетребовательно к почве, хотя лучше растет на богатых перегноем, удобренных навозом, влажных участках. В засушливый период необходим полив. Размножают отрезками корневищ с почкой возобновления. Лучшее время посадки — конец лета.

Купену высаживают на затененных и полузатененных участках группами для создания декоративно стабильного напочвенного покрова. Она хорошо смотрится в сочетании с аквилегией, горянкой, диценгрой, ландышем, морозником.
