Заканчивается январь, зима в самом разгаре, за окном мороз, а на подоконнике появляются первые всходы. В январе были посеяны только цветы на рассаду, с длительным периодом развития от всходов до начала цветения. Все что можно посеять в январе, было перечислено тут.
В конце января подводим итоги январских посевов: что было посеяно, что взошло и как развиваются всходы.
Первый посев цветов я решила провести 16 января, для этого выбрала семена бальзамина, бегонии клубневой, гвоздики Шабо и эустомы. Через несколько дней 26 января посеяла новый сорт герани зональной и глоксинию. Расскажу подробно: как сеяла каждую культуру и что из этого получилось.
Бальзамин Уоллера выбрала двух сортов, двух фирм, в каждой пачке по 5 семян. Для посева была использована небольшая пластиковая коробочка с крышкой и обычная земля для рассады. Перед посевом на влажной земле были сделаны бороздки глубиной не более 5 мм, в которые распределены семена по поверхности, не присыпая сверху. Посевы под крышечкой на тёплом подоконнике при постоянной влажности быстро дали всходы, уже на 7-й день первые 2 ростка появились у бальзамина Афина, ещё через 3-4 дня два ростка пробудилось у махрового бальзамина Острова. Посевы бальзамина держала закрытыми до появления всех всходов, поэтому первые два росточка сильно вытянулись.
Бегонию клубневую хотела вырастить из семян уже давно, так как это более дешёвый способ получить сразу много клубней цветов. Рано сеять клубневую бегонию нужно, чтобы за лето растения успели образовать крупные клубеньки. При посеве бегонию по поверхности земли результатов не получалось, поэтому для посева бегонии использовала торфяные таблетки и пластиковую ёмкость с крышечкой вместо мини теплички. На верхушки торфяных таблеток поместила мельчайшие семечки и увлажняла их капельками каждый день. Через 10 дней появились первые мельчайшие ростки. Через 14 дней проросли почти все семена двух сортов, всхожесть 90%. Пока ростки бегонии очень мелкие они уязвимы, могут погибнуть от малейшего сквозняка, поэтому первые дни держу их в закрытой тепличке, поливаю капельками.
Гвоздика Шабо зацветает через 5-6 месяцев после посева, если вы хотите наслаждаться цветением этого букетного растения в самый разгар лета, то посев нужно проводить в январе. Семена гвоздики Шабо не слишком крупные, но всходы подвержены заболеванию «чёрная ножка». Для посева в небольшой плошке с рассадной землёй сделала бороздки, полила их, и равномерно распределила семена. Сверху семена присыпала мелким песком, прокалённым в духовке. Всходы гвоздики появились быстро, буквально через 3-4 дня начали прорастать семена, но уже вскоре несколько ростков пропало. Чтобы спасти остальные всходы делаю полив с фитоспорином и посыпаю землю сверху толчённым активированным углём.
Эустома роскошно цветёт в середине лета, но для этого её нужно сеять в январе, так как рассада этих цветов развивается очень долго. Для посева выбрала два сорта эустомы – жёлтые цветы высокие и низкий сорт с белой, голубой и розовой окраской цветков. Сеять эустому легко в торфяные таблетки, которые нужно поставить в пластиковую ёмкость с крышкой и полить до разбухания. Семена эустомы мелкие, их перенесла на поверхность торфяных таблеток и увлажняла капельками, чтобы оболочка на семенах растворилась. Томительное ожидание всходов эустомы длилось 10 дней и только после 25 числа начали появляться первые ростки жёлтой эустомы, но через пару дней проросли почти все семянки эустомы триколор, всхожесть 90%. Ещё как минимум 3-4 недели эустома будет расти на торфяных таблетках, а затем распикирована в стаканчики с рассадной землёй.
Новый сорт герани приобрела уже в конце января и решила посеять по правилам, проведя скарификацию и замачивание семян. В пачке всего 5 семянок не слишком крупных в коричневой оболочке. Осторожно мелкой пилочкой для ногтей сделала пропилы на каждом семени. Семена герани замочила на сутки в чистой воде. На следующий день два ростка буквально вывалились из коричневой оболочки и представляли собой зародыши, их осторожно перенесла в стаканчики с землёй и на третий день появились такие сильные ростки. Остальные семена, которые оставались в оболочке, ещё не проросли.
В заключении посеяла семена глоксинии для комнатного выращивания в торфяные таблетки, вместо теплички использовала прозрачные пластиковые стаканчики. Но пока ещё прошло мало времени, чтобы говорить о результатах.
