Луковица тюльпана ежегодно обновляется после цветения наземной части, отмирают и корни, а к новой фазе роста образуются новые. Листья тюльпанов появляются из земли ранней весной. Обычно одно растение имеет 2-4 широких овальных листа, которые крепятся к круглому стеблю, на конце стебля формируется цветок. Одна луковица обычно дает один-два цветка, но есть виды, образующие до 15 цветков.
Классическая форма цветка тюльпана – бокаловидная, её создает обычно 6 крупных ярких атласных лепестков, которые на самом деле являются листьями околоцветника. Внутри бокала тюльпана есть тычинки с пыльниками и пестик с рыльцем. После увядания и опадения лепестков и тычинок цветка, пестик преобразуется в плод коробочку с семенами. Тюльпаны приспособлены расти в районах с резко континентальным климатом, когда летом жарко, а зимой холодно и снежно. С потеплением весной тюльпаны трогаются в рост сразу после таяния снега, из земли появляются светло-зеленые листья, а вслед за ними длинный стебель с цветков. Время посадки тюльпанов
Период покоя луковицы приходится на вторую половину лета – самое жаркое время года, особенно в степи, где зарождались тюльпаны. В этот период у луковицы тюльпана формируется цветочная почка на следующий сезон, если лето холодное, то качество цветения тюльпанов в следующем году будет низкое. Чтобы тюльпаны каждой весной пышно цвели их рекомендуется выкапывать в середине лета, как только засохнут листья и хранить луковицы в тепле при температуре не менее +23 до +25 градусов в течение 3-4 недель. Осенью луковицы тюльпанов сажают для цветения в новом сезоне.
После посадки луковиц тюльпанов осенью, когда температуре почвы снизилась до +5…+9 градусов, у них начинают отрастать корешки. При укоренении луковиц тюльпана в рост идет почка, поэтому если тюльпаны посадить рано они, например, в конце лета они могут прорасти. Луковица тюльпана с небольшим ростком под землей и новыми корнями зимует под покровом снега, а с потеплением весной быстро трогается в рост.
Посадку тюльпанов необходимо делать за полтора-два месяца до промерзания почвы, именно столько времени луковицам нужно для укоренения. В средней полосе благоприятный срок посадки тюльпанов приходится на вторую половину сентября до середины октября. Можно посадить луковицы тюльпанов и поздней осенью, в конце октября, но если зима будет ранняя, то они могут пострадать.
Если луковицы тюльпанов для посадки хранить до весны, они ослабнут. Высаженные тюльпаны весной цвести не будут.
Подготовка перед посадкой тюльпанов:
1. Нужно выбрать участок и подготовить почву. Место для весенних цветов должно быть солнечное, но с защитой от ветров, чтобы цветки на длинных стеблях не ломались. 4. Луковицы тюльпанов перед посадкой разделяют по их размеру. Крупные до 9 см в окружности и более дадут самые крупные цветки, их высаживают на передний план. Среднего размера луковицы от 6 до 9 см в диаметре дают цветы не такие крупные, их высаживают на второй план, а мелкие луковицы сажают на доращивание.
Посадка тюльпанов
Для посадки тюльпанов делают лунки или бороздки на глубину, которая зависит от размеров луковиц. Для крупных луковиц глубина посадки должна быть 12-15 см, для средних – 10-8 и для мелких 8-6.
На дно лунок и бороздок рассыпают минеральное удобрение для цветов, перемешивают его с землей. Луковицы крупных размеров размещают на расстоянии 12-15 см, средние через 10-15 см, мелкие через 8-10 см.
Луковицы засыпают землей, сверху её немного утрамбовывают. Если осень стоит сухая, то посадки обильно поливают. При поздней посадке тюльпанов, в конце октября, поверхность земли рекомендуется замульчировать торфом и укрыть лапником, чтобы при промерзании почвы не успевшие укорениться луковицы не вытолкнуло на поверхность.
Уход за тюльпанами
Весной с началом отрастания листьев тюльпанов их подкармливают азотным удобрением, например мочевиной. Цветы хорошо реагируют на подкормку минеральным удобрением, которое рассыпают по поверхности, затем поливают и рыхлят почву. Если весной нет дождей, то тюльпаны рекомендуется обильно поливать при высыхании земли до и во время цветения. После того как цветки увянут, тюльпаны не поливают.
