Унаби (Зизифус, Китайский финик)
Семейство Крушиновые.

Унаби, наверное, является рекордсменом среди плодовых культур по… количеству вариантов названия. Это растение известно также как зизифус, китайский финик, жожоба (или жужуба), ююба, анаб, чилион, чой- лон, джилан джида, цзао, янап, арнап, илан джида и грудная ягода.

Сам род Унаби включает в себя около 50 видов, растущих преимущественно в тропиках и субтропиках, однако, по данным археологических и палеонтологических раскопок, в далеком прошлом он рос далеко не только на юге — растения, очень похожие на современные виды унаби, обнаруживались даже в Гренландии.

Сейчас дикорастущие унаби можно встретить в Китае, Маньчжурии, Монголии, в Туркмении, Узбекистане и частично в Таджикистане.

В культуре унаби распространен намного шире: по всей южной Европе, в Северной Африке, в обеих Америках — иными словами, по всем субтропикам и не только. Так, если поначалу в Украине унаби выращивали только в Крыму, сегодня любители выращивают отдельные сорта этой любопытной культуры едва ли не во всех областях, включая Полтавскую и Киевскую.

Биологические особенности
Унаби — листопадное дерево до 9 м высотой с раскидистой или широкопирамидальной кроной и мощной корневой системой, образующее корневую поросль, благодаря чему его можно выращивать и в форме порослевого куста. Побеги молодых деревьев покрыты колючками, но с возрастом колючки постепенно исчезают.

Листья узко-яйцевидные с заостренным кончиком (почти ланцетные), короткочерешковые, кожистые. Цвести начинает в мае. В зависимости от условий цветение может продолжаться от 1 месяца до сентября. Опыление — перекрестное. Соцветие кистевидное, цветки двуполые, мелкие, зеленовато-желтые.

Плодоносит унаби на однолетних зеленых (неодревесневающих) опадающих побегах, которые образуются на кольчатках. Плоды созревают в конце сентября — начале октября, завязавшиеся позже не вызревают. Сами плоды по форме обычно напоминают маслины, но у разных сортов могут быть различными: шаровидными, почти цилиндрическими, бутыльчатыми, грушевидными и т.п., размер колеблется от 1 до 4—5 см в диаметре.

Как правило, плоды окрашены в красно-коричневые тона (в зависимости от сорта — от красных и светло- коричневых до темно-шоколадных). Иногда бывают бессемянными. Вкус — от очень сладкого до кисло-сладкого. Мякоть плотная или мучнистая, в лежке плоды сморщиваются и приобретают оригинальный аромат.

Унаби — дерево-долгожитель, известны экземпляры, которым исполнилось 300 лет, однако активно эта культура плодоносит только в течение 40—50 лет. В плодоношение вступает на 2—3-й год, далее обычно плодоносит ежегодно.

Унаби засухоустойчив, жароустойчив и при этом относительно морозоустойчив (дерево может выдерживать тридцатиградусные морозы, однако для образования плодов ему требуется высокая сумма активных температур), нетребователен к почвам.

Ценность культуры
Плоды унаби напоминают по вкусу финик, их можно использовать как в свежем, так ив переработанном виде, но считается, что наиболее вкусными они становятся после недолгого подвяливания на солнце (кстати, после него они могут храниться в течение года). Из сушеных плодов можно делать муку.

В плодах унаби содержится много витамина С (до 17-20 мг на 100 г), сахаров (20—36 %), жиров и белка, также в них есть Р-активные соединения и пектиновые вещества.

Плоды унаби полезны при заболеваниях верхних дыхательных путей и легких, не случайно одно из названий унаби звучит как «грудная ягода». В Китае отвар и настой плодов унаби используют как мочегонное средство, а в Средней Азии — при многих инфекционных заболеваниях и как средство для нормализации кровяного давления. Также плоды можно применять как общеукрепляющее и успокаивающее средство. Недоспелые плоды обладают вяжущим действием, спелые — легким слабительным.

Сорта
Сорта унаби делятся на три группы по срокам созревания на ранние (плоды созревают в конце сентября — начале октября), средние (вторая декада октября) и поздние (конец октября — начало января). Также выделяют мелко-, средне- и крупноплодные сорта (средняя масса плода до 5 г, 5—10 и более 10 г соответственно).

Выбор места
Унаби может расти практически на любых почвах, кроме засоленных и заболоченных, в т.ч. и на бедных, однако на них дает плохой урожай. Высокое залегание грунтовых вод недопустимо. Лучшее место для унаби (за пределами субтропической зоны) — южные склоны.

Размножение
Унаби можно размножать семенами, корневой порослью, прививкой и (реже) черенками.

Из семян унаби чаще всего выращивают на подвой, так как сеянцы начинают плодоносить позже и не всегда сохраняют сортовые признаки. Косточки надо заготавливать только из свежих качественных плодов, которые надо тут же очистить от мякоти.

За 2 месяца до посева семена стратифицируют. Высевают их весной на глубину 3—4 см после того, как почва хорошо прогреется; лучше — на гребни 15—20 см высотой.

Расстояние между рядами — 70—90 см, между семенами в ряду — 5 см. Посев лучше укрыть пленкой (туннельное укрытие). Через 20 дней сеянцы прореживают или пикируют так, чтобы между растениями в ряду осталось 20—25 см.

Весной сеянцы поливают всего 1 раз, летом — 2 раза в месяц. Уход за сеянцами — без особенностей.

Чаще всего крупноплодные сорта прививают на подвои мелкоплодных. Прививку «глазком» производят летом, черенком за кору — в мае или в сентябре.

Размножение корневой порослью позволяет получить урожай уже на следующий год после высадки саженца, отделять их можно в двухлетнем возрасте при длине 50—60 см.

При размножении черенками черенки укореняют в условиях искусственного прерывистого тумана в парниках.

На постоянное место саженцы высаживают на юге в середине марта, в районах ближе к северу — в конце марта.

Размеры посадочной ямы и схема посадки
Глубина посадочной ямы — 50 см, диаметр — до 60 см; необходимая площадь для одного растения — не менее 4х3 м (лучше 5х5 м).

Обрезка, формирование кроны
Крону обычно формируют за 1—2 года в форме чаши или вазы из 4—5 скелетных ветвей, размещенных равномерно вокруг ствола. Центральный проводник обрезается, лишние ветки удаляются «на кольцо».

Верхняя ветка укорачивается так, чтобы осталось 15—20 см, остальные — так, чтобы их вершины оказались на одном уровне с ней.

В дальнейшем проводится санитарная обрезка, также удаляются ветви, загущающие крону.

Поливы
В первый год унаби надо поливать чаще для лучшего приживления (5—7 раз за сезон).

В первые месяцы цветения поливать унаби не стоит — плоды завязываются вовремя только при сухой погоде, однако если влаги будет не хватать в течение всего лета, урожай будет плохим, поэтому поливать унаби следует начиная с середины — конца июня (но не слишком часто, а только при длительном отсутствии дождей).

Подкормки
Ежегодно весной, начиная с 4-го года после высадки, унаби надо подкармливать смесью минеральных удобрений (полное удобрение), а через год — еще и навозом.

Уборка урожая
В положенный для данного сорта срок с дерева можно снять все плоды включая мелкие (завязавшиеся позже оптимального для созревания времени).

Вредители и болезни
Вредители и болезни унаби практически не повреждают, химическая защита ему не требуется, однако иногда наблюдается незначительное объедание недоспелых (зеленых) плодов, предположительно саранчой (вредитель не установлен).

Зрелые плоды могут пострадать от птиц.

Чай из плодов зизифуса

Ароматный сладкий напиток. В народной медицине Кореи считается, что чай из зизифуса — разновидности фиников — способствует нормализации сна.
— Плоды зизифуса (сушеные) 10 г
— Вода 1 л
— Сахарный песок 100 г
Плоды зизифуса вымачивать в воде в течение 3-4 часов. Затем засыпать сахарный песок — напиток готов. Если берутся свежие финики (хорошо вызревшие), то их (10-15шт.) слегка растолочь, залить одним литром воды и прокипятить в течение 10 минут.

Чай из листьев зизифуса

Способствует нормализации сна.
— Листья зизифуса 20 г
— Вода 1 л
— Сахарный песок 70 г
В горячую воду положить листья финика (или их помол в виде порошка), настаивать в течение 5-10 минут. Затем подсластить сахарным песком — напиток готов.

Медовый зизифусовый напиток

Для приготовления такого напитка можно использовать сушеные плоды унаби. Ягоды заливают водой в пропорции 1:3 и держат на медленном огне до их полного разваривания. После чего плоды отжимают.

Полученную жидкость варят до тех пор, пока она немного не загустеет. После этого в нее добавляют мед и переливают в бутылку. Перед употреблением экстракт разводят водой. Можно поступить проще — просто залить плоды водой и сварить из них компот. В таком случае плодов кладут меньше.

Зизифусовый компот

Компот из зизифуса имеет приятный, освежающий вкус и может быть использован для лекарственных целей.

Чтобы его приготовить, нужно литровую банку наполнить свежими зизифинками, а затем залить горячим сиропом.

Сироп готовят из двух стаканов воды, 0,5 стакана сахара и 10 г лимонной кислоты. Затем банки пастеризуют 12-15 минут.

Зизифусовое варенье — 1

Для варенья лучше брать слегка недозрелые плоды. Готовят варенье так. Плоды (1 кг) наколоть или разрезать пополам. Приготовить сироп из 0,8-1 кг сахара, 1,5-2 стаканов воды, добавить в него 10-12 г лимонной кислоты.

Кипящим сиропом заливаем подготовленные ягоды. Будущему варенью даем постоять часов 5-7. После этого варим его на медленном огне 20-25 минут.

Варенье готово. Раскладываем его в банки и герметически укупориваем.

Зизифусовое варенье — 2

Для этого варенья также берем слегка недозрелые плоды. Плоды накалываем и заливаем кипящим сиропом (на 1 кг плодов 1 л воды и 600-800 г сахара, лимонную кислоту в этот раз добавлять не следует), после чего на медленном огне доводим до кипения и кипятим 2 минуты.

Пусть постоит часов 5-7. Снова на медленном огне доводим до кипения и кипятим не более 5 минут. Эту процедуру повторить еще раз. Варенье раскладываем в банки и герметически закупориваем. Учтите, что варенье со временем густеет.
