Голубоглазка горная, или сизиринхиум, — травянистый многолетник, образует компактную дернинку 20-25 см высотой, состоит из большого количества собранных вместе сизоватых побегов с линейными листьями.
Цветки диаметром около 2 см, ярко-голубые, с желтым глазком посередине, по 3-4 в соцветиях. Цветет в мае-июле в течение месяца. Растение светолюбиво, в условиях легкого затенения хуже развивается и слабее цветет. Почвы предпочитает богатые, рыхлые, дренированные.
Может использоваться в цветниках, миксбордерах и бордюрных посадках, для озеленения склонов, в каменистых садах.
Наиболее выразительно выглядит в посадках группами.
