Чтобы рассада не вытягивалась
Самый ответственный момент в жизни проростка — выход из семени, когда формируется подсемядольное колено, участок стебля от корешка до первых семядольных листочков.

В это время закладываются будущий диаметр стебля, размеры проводящей системы и механические ткани, отвечающие за устойчивость растения.

Сильное вытягивание этой части стебля нарушает формирование устойчивого габитуса — внешнего вида всего растения, а возникающие деформации впоследствии коррекции не поддаются.

Как только семена проклюнутся, их необходимо переместить на самое светлое место: обеспеченные в достаточной степени световой энергией, растении не «отправляются» на ее поиски и поэтому не вытягиваются.

В светлое время дня активно идут процессы деления клеток, а в ночные часы при температуре воздуха больше +20 ° С клетки сильно вытягиваются.

Для сдерживания интенсивного роста, ослабляющего растение, после прорастания сети температуру воздуха необходимо снижать на несколько градусов (с +20°С до +16-18°С), а в дневные часы следить, чтобы она не превышала +25°С. Непропорциональный рост молодых сеянцев сдерживает и строгий водный режим.

Молодые растения на 90% состоят из воды и охотно ее потребляют в теплые ночи, за счет чего клетки активно делятся и быстро увеличиваются в размерах.

Небольшой дефицит воды при выращивании рассады уменьшает вегетативный рост, но стимулирует развитие растений и подталкивает их к более раннему цветению.

Сжатая в комочек земля, рассыпающаяся при легком нажатии пальцами, говорит о том, что рассаду пора поливать; если комочек не рассыпается, влаги еще достаточно.

Резкие переходы от недостатка влаги к ее избытку не приносят растению пользы, равно как и полив холодной (ниже комнатной температуры) водой.
