Как часто нужно поливать и подкармливать огурцы?
Первые 3 недели после высадки рассады почва должна оставаться полусухой.

Много воды (20-25 л на 1 м2) растениям потребуется, когда они зацветут и появятся завязи. Поливают теплой водой рано утром или вечером (не позднее 19 часов) 3-4 раза в неделю, в зависимости от погоды.

Подкармливают огурцы при образовании 3 настоящих листьев — раствором нитроаммофоски (15-20 г на 10 л воды); в период цветения — сернокислым калием (10-15 г на 10 л воды); во время плодоношения — раз в неделю комплексным минеральным удобрением (30-40 г на 10 л воды), расходуя это количество на 3-4 м2.

Особенно эффективны одновременные подкормки органическими и минеральными удобрениями.

После полива, дождя и подкормки почву неглубоко рыхлят или мульчируют торфом либо перегноем слоем 3-5 см. Это уменьшает испарение влаги и предупреждает образование на почве корки.
