Каких условий выращивания требует ревень?
Ревень — холодостойкая культура. Корневища переносят морозы до -30° С, но в очень суровые зимы растения могут частично вымерзать. Хорошо выдерживает затенение, при этом предпочитает легкие плодородные почвы. Грунтовые воды должны залегать на расстоянии не менее 1,2 м от поверхности земли.

Реакция среды — нейтральная или слабокислая (pH 6,5-7,0). Осенью под глубокое перекапывание (30 см) вносят компост или навоз (10-15 кг на 1 м2), суперфосфат и калийную соль (соответственно, 30-40 г на 1 м2 и 25-30 г на 1 м2). Кислые почвы известкуют.

Если посадку проводят весной, осенью используют 2/3 дозы фосфорных и калийных удобрений. При избыточном внесении навоза черешки ревеня приобретают горьковатый вкус.
