Впрочем, она может также стать следствием поверхностного расположения корневой системы, легко травмируемой при обработке приствольного круга. В местах ранений у придаточных (адвентивных) почек на корнях образуются корневые отпрыски. Под такими деревьями почву лучше не перекапывать, а ограничиться боронованием граблями или содержать приствольный круг под слоем мульчи.
Поросль надо удалять, так как она ослабляет дерево. Делать это лучше рано весной, сняв вокруг нее почву и вырезав от корня без оставления на нем пеньков. Если на вырезаемой поросли есть зачатки корней, после доращивания в питомнике ее можно использовать в качестве подвоя для прививки необходимого сорта и таким образом получить собственный саженец на клоновом подвое.
