Избыток фосфорных удобрений изменяет в неблагоприятную сторону соотношения в почве азота, фосфора и калия и часто приводит к тому, что такие важные микроэлементы, как цинк, медь, кобальт и другие, принимают формы, недоступные растениям. Усиленное известкование почв также ведет к выпадению в осадок ряда микроэлементов и, следовательно, недостатку их для растений.

При внесении удобрений необходимо учитывать требования выращиваемых культур, свойства почв и, конечно, строго следовать рекомендациям, указанным на упаковке.
