1 августа до октября цветут различные сорта корейских хризантем. В сентябре продолжают цвести средние и поздние сорта флокса метельчатого.
В это же время на хорошо освещенных участках распускаются оранжевые соцветия монтбреции. Незаменим в осенних цветниках гелениум с желтыми, бронзовыми или кирпично-красными ветками.
До октября радуют глаз высокая рудбекия сорта Золотой шар. Эти растения так же, как золотарник, хорошо использовать для оформления заднего плана цветников.
До самых морозов цветут разные виды многолетних астр. И наконец, особое очарование осеннему пейзажу придают распускающиеся в сентябре розово-лиловые цветы колхикума, или безземенника.
