Они пропускают свет, воздух и влагу. Если укрыть место, где высеяны туговсхожие культуры (петрушка, укроп, морковь, чернушка) и высажен картофель, то всходы появляются на неделю-две раньше.

Ткань защищает от резких температурных перепадов, несильных заморозков и жары, создает на грядке более нормальный микроклимат, спасает от некоторых вредителей и болезней. Эти материалы можно использовать несколько сезонов. Есть агрил и агротекс черного цвета. Их обычно используют для защиты теплолюбивых овощных культур и земляники.
