Выращивание рассады петунии
Петунию высевают в марте в смесь дерновой и листовой земли с добавлением торфа и песка в соотношении 1:1:1:0,5. За несколько часов до посева грунт обильно поливают крутым кипятком и закрывают пленкой или фольгой.

Семена петунии очень мелкие, поэтому их смешивают с сухим песком, рассыпают по поверхности грунта и осторожно присыпают сверху тонким слоем почвенной смеси, используя сито с мелкими ячейками. При температуре +20-25 и регулярном опрыскивании из пульверизатора всходы появляются через 14-15 дней. В середине апреля сеянцы образуют 2-3 настоящих листа, и их пикируют на расстоянии 5×5 см.

После пикирования рассаду продолжают держать в теплом, хорошо освещенном месте и умеренно поливают. Каждые 3 недели растения подкармливают 0,1%-ным раствором полного минерального удобрения. Петуния не отличается морозостойкостью, поэтому в открытый грунт сеянцы высаживают в конце мая — начале июня (расстояние между растениями не менее 25-30 см).
