Родиола розовая, или золотой корень, хорошо растет на открытых солнечных участках с легкой садовой дренированной почвой. В тяжелые и глинистые почвы добавляют песок. Необходим регулярный полив. Подкармливают комплексным минеральным удобрением (2-3 раза за сезон). Размножают семенами и вегетативно.

При вегетативном размножении отрезки корневищ длиной 5-6 см с 2-3 почками возобновления сажают на глубину 1-1,5 см. Семена сеют под зиму или стратифицируют (держат увлажненными при температуре 0-2° С в течение месяца) и сеют весной, в марте-апреле. Семена родиолы очень мелкие, их смешивают с песком (1:1) и не заделывают в почву, а только прижимают к ней. Всходы при температуре +15-20° С появляются быстро. В первый год сеянцы нуждаются в прополке и поливе. На постоянное место растения пересаживают в сентябре-октябре или ранней весной, до начала отрастания наземных побегов. После посадки почву мульчируют опилками или перегноем.
