Черенки высаживают в горшки с землей и насыпанным сверху слоем песка, накрывают прозрачной пластиковой емкостью либо полиэтиленовым пакетом и притеняют. Корни появляются через 8-12 дней.
Окоренившиеся черенки высаживают в горшки, прищипывают верхушки и дальше выращивают как рассаду. В грунт высаживают в начале июня, по окончании возвратных заморозков, которых колеус не переносит.
