Смородина красная
Растет в широколиственных лесах в горах Западной Европы. Высота куста 1,5 м. Цветет в середине мая, 15 дней. Плоды созревают в середине июля. Цветет и плодоносит с 4 лет ежегодно. Укореняется 70% летних черенков без обработки. В культуре известна давно. Смородина красная более зимостойка, чем черная. В суровые зимы возможны повреждения цветочных почек и побегов.
Черная смородина наиболее теневынослива, однако сильного затенения не выносит. Смородину красную и белую лучше сажать на свету. Для посадки пригодны одно- или двухлетние саженцы с хорошо развитой корневой системой.

раннего срока созревания — ‘Ранняя сладкая’, ‘Чулковская’;
среднего срока созревания — ‘Задунайская’, ‘Натали’, ‘Константиновская’, ‘Красный крест’;

Посадка
Размеры посадочной ямы: 40x60x50 см.
В плодородную землю добавляют: ведро перегноя, стакан суперфосфата, спичечный коробок сернокислого калия и смесью заполняют 2/3 ямы, холмиком. Саженец ставят в яму наклонно, под углом 45°. Если корни слегка подсохли, то саженец перед посадкой ставят в воду на 3-4 часа. Чтобы вызвать рост дополнительных корней и побегов, саженец заглубляют на 6-8 см. После посадки поливают (около ведра под куст) и мульчируют приствольный круг перегноем, или торфом, или опилками. После чего растения обрезают, оставив на побеге по 4-5 почек. При сухой погоде через 3-4 дня полив повторяют.
Если на вашем участке сыро, то смородину лучше посадить на грядку высотой 20-30 см, шириной 70-80 см.
Все смородины требуют богатой, достаточно влажной, рыхлой и дренированной почвы, теневыносливы, но лучше развиваются на освещенных, защищенных местах. Нуждаются в постоянном уходе: перекопке приствольных кругов, внесении удобрений, вырезке старых (4-5-летних) ветвей.
Живет до 20 лет. Хорошее плодоношение длится 10-12 лет. У нее поверхностная корневая система, большая часть корней находится на глубине 40 см. Влаголюбива, но в условиях переувлажнения растет и плодоносит плохо. Грунтовые воды на участке должны находиться на уровне 1-1,5 м. Светолюбива. Повышенную кислотность почвы переносит плохо. Кислые почвы следует известковать.
Подкормки
Весной вносят 2 спичечных коробка огородной смеси на куст, осенью в почву вносят органические, фосфорные и калийные удобрения, весной же преимущественно азотные: например, 1 спичечный коробок мочевины на 1 м2. Они хорошо усваиваются растениями. Летом внесите навозную жижу, 1:10 из расчета 1 ведро на 2-3 куста. Подкормки лучше совмещать с поливами. При слабом развитии смородины можно сделать внекорневую подкормку, опрыскивая растения удобрениями, содержащими микроэлементы. В конце сентября — начале октября опять подкормите: ведро компоста, стакан суперфосфата, 2 столовые ложки хлористого калия или 2 стакана ягодной или огородной смеси на 1 м2, перекопайте на глубину 15 см.
Полив
Полив важен во время активного роста и образования завязей и в период налива ягод, т. е. с начала июня до первой декады июля. Почву следует проливать до глубины распространения корней, до 40 см. На взрослый куст выливают до 30 л воды. Чтобы вода не уходила за пределы куста, делают земляные валики высотой до 10 см. После сбора урожая, в июле-ав1усте, обязательно полейте кусты.
Одиночные и групповые посадки, живые изгороди, опушки, бордюры вдоль дорожек, по склонам, по берегам водоемов (с. альпийская). Применяют при создании альпийских горок (с. американская). Хороши на опушках в качестве подлеска (с. дикуша, с. кроваво-красная). Эффектны смородины в штамбовой форме.
Рыхление, мульчирование
В конце апреля рыхлят почву на глубину 7 см, когда образуется почвенная корка, затем мульчируют слоем до 10 см. Почву рыхлят 1 раз в 2 недели, пропалывают сорняки.
Обрезка
Выдерживают сильную обрезку, хорошо держат приданную форму.
Подготовка к зиме
Необходимо защищенное от ветра местоположение. В суровые зимы может сильно подмерзать, но затем отрастает. В конце октября куст окучивают почвой на высоту 10-12 см. Подсыпают слой мульчи 5-7 см. Весной саженцы разокучивают, оставляя пеньки с 2-4 почками.
Размножение
Размножают смородины семенами, черенками, делением куста, отводками. При семенном размножении посев проводят осенью в год сбора плодов. Свежесобранные семена необходимо держать до посева во влажном песке. Гряды после посева на зиму укрывают. Весной сеют семенами, стратифицированными в течение 2-3 месяцев. Норма высева семян 0,2-0,б г. При размножении делением куста за год до этого куст обрезают на пень, на следующий год делят на части, учитывая количество ветвей. В случае размножения отводками за год до него вырезают боковые побеги и оставляют только центральные. Появившиеся весной молодые побеги пригибают к земле, засыпают землей, а верхушкам придают вертикальное положение, привязывая их к колышкам. Осенью укорененные отводки отделяют от материнского растения. Можно просто присыпать землей боковые побеги и, когда на них в свою очередь появятся побеги, последние по мере роста также присыпать землей, что способствует хорошему разрастанию корней. При разведении смородины черенками зимние черенки нарезают длиной 30-35 см с однолетних побегов (толщина побега примерно с карандаш) и высаживают в грунт рядами на расстоянии 25-30 см. Черенки смородины сажают осенью в августе-сентябре. Зеленое черенкование проводят в июне-июле.
В конце сентября нарезают с 2-3-летних ветвей вызревшие однолетние побеги длиной 15-18 см с 5-6 почками. Их сажают под углом 45° в грядку с рыхлой почвой, оставляя на поверхности 2-3 почки. Поливают, мульчируют. При весенней посадке черенки сажают в грязь под темной полиэтиленовой пленкой. Зеленые черенки смородины высаживают в грунт во второй половине августа. До наступления холодов они должны укорениться, чтобы хорошо перезимовать.
Смородины размножают отводками, чаще всего горизонтальными. Весной выбирают ветвь с сильными однолетними приростами. В почве делают канавку глубиной 10-15 см, наклоняют побег и пришпиливают крючками, металлическими или деревянными. Не следует сразу присыпать рыхлой почвой. Надо подождать, чтобы пробудились почки и побеги отросли на 5-8 см. Лишь после этого присыпают землей. Поливают, рыхлят, мульчируют. Осенью или весной следующего года отводки отделяют секатором, высаживают в саду.

Махровость — вирусное заболевание, вызывающее махровость цветков и отсутствие плодов. Переносчик — почковый клещ. В конце апреля обрабатывают коллоидной серой (1%) вздутые почки, при сильном повреждении удаляют ветви.
