Семейство Крыжовниковые (по другим данным — Камнеломковые)

Официально такой культуры ни в Украине, ни в России не существует. А на практике она растет и плодоносит во многих садах. Йошта — это искусственно выведенный межвидовой гибрид черной смородины и крыжовника, а название этого растения происходит от немецких названий родительских видов. Любопытно, что выведением этого гибрида селекционеры разных стран занимались независимо друг от друга и добились результата почти одно-временно. Это же является одной из причин разнообразия форм самой йошты, часть из которых стоит ближе к смородине, а часть — к крыжовнику. В то же время йошта обладает и своими собственными, не похожими на родительские признаками, что и позволяет рассматривать ее как нечто особенное.

Селекционная работа с йоштой еще не окончена, и у любого садовода, решившего заняться ее выращиванием, есть реальный шанс внести свой вклад в создание окончательного облика этого растения.

Биологические особенности
Как вид йошта еще недостаточно стабильна, и потому отдельные экземпляры могут тяготеть по своим характеристикам к любому из исходных растений. Высота куста йошты в среднем около 2,5 м при диаметре куста до 3 м, по форме кроны напоминает, в зависимости от разновидности, кусты крыжовника или черной смородины. Отдельные побеги длиной до 1,5 м. Колючек на побегах нет. Листья похожи формой на листья крыжовника, но обычно крупнее, чем у него. Соцветие — кисть, цветки относительно крупные, зеленовато-желтые. Плоды созревают в конце июля. Ягоды черные, крупные (больше, чем у смородины, в 2—4 раза), в созревшем состоянии долго не осыпаются.

Урожайность йошты ниже, чем у родительских видов, однако благодаря перекрестному опылению она повышается, если рядом с йоштой есть насаждения сортовой черной смородины и/или крыжовника. Куст йошты дает в среднем 7—10 кг ягод.
В целом этот новый вид зимостоек и устойчив к болезням — антракнозу и мучнистой росе, а также к почковому клещу, что делает йошту перспективной культурой.

Ценность культуры
Йошта ценится прежде всего за ее неприхотливость, не-требовательность к условиям произрастания и устойчивость к болезням. Разброс вкусовых качеств у плодов разных разновидностей очень велик, причем по вкусу они напоминают одновременно и крыжовник и черную смородину и могут быть использованы аналогично.

Содержание витамина С в ягодах меньше, чем у смородины, но в 2—4 раза больше, чем у крыжовника.

Некоторым садоводам йошта нравится еще и за декоративность — в цветущем виде она весьма нарядна. Из кустов можно создавать живые изгороди и бордюры.

Агротехника
Для культивирования йошты нужны хорошо окультуренные плодородные почвы и солнечные места. В целом агротехника выращивания очень похожа на таковую для крыжовника, но йошта более вынослива и легче переносит агротехнические ошибки и отклонения от оптимального ухода.

Способы размножения
Йошту можно размножать отводками, а также одревесневшими и летними черенками. Черенки и отводки укореняются легко, обработка фитогормонами не требуется. Оптимальный срок посадки — весна или ранняя осень (конец августа — начало сентября).

Схема посадки, размер посадочной ямы
Глубина ямы — как у крыжовника, расстояние между кустами — до 1,5 м, между рядами — 2 м. Глубина посадки — 40 см. При посадке под йошту надо внести больше калийных удобрений, чем азотных (ее специфическая особенность).

Обрезка, формирование формы
Четкие схемы не выработаны, но и в формирующей обрезке йошта не нуждается. Для нее проводят санитарную обрезку и похожую на омолаживающую, главная цель которой — не допустить оголения куста. Для этого мощные побеги сильно укорачивают (оставляя до 6 почек).

Поливы
Желательно провести три полива за сезон: первый раз во время образования завязей, второй — во время формирования ягод и третий— осенью.

Подкормки
Под взрослые кусты удобрения вносятся раз в 2—3 года (весной или осенью под перекопку), прочие подкормки проводятся по мере необходимости (в случае возникновения симптомов дефицита того или иного питательного элемента).

Прочий уход
Осенью почва перекапывается вилами, весной рыхлится на глубину около 8 см.

Вредители и болезни
Очень стойкий к болезням вид, в отличие от родительских видов, практически не поражается мучнистой росой и почковым клещом.
