Посев георгинов на рассаду проводят в конце марта – начале апреля, можно вырастить рассаду цветов в теплице, а после того как пройдут заморозки высадить растения в открытый грунт на клумбы. Цветение георгинов выращенных из семян начинается в конце июня – в июле, но высокорослые сорта зацветают позже.
+- Из семян можно вырастить георгины с простой, махровой, кактусовидной и помпонной формой цветка, но окраска у них в основном однотонная. Если покупать семена со смесью окрасок, то получается яркое разнообразие цветов на клумбе из одного пакетика.
При покупке семян цветов, обращайте внимание на высоту растений, есть низкорослые георгины с высотой до 30 см, есть среднерослые до 60-80 см и высокорослые, которые в высоту достигают 1 метра и более. У меня высокие сорта георгинов из семян к концу лета образовали огромные разветвлённые кусты в высоту 1 метр и более и цвели очень пышно с августа по сентябрь.
+ После того георгины выращенные из семян погибнут при минусовой температуре их не нужно выкапывать и хранить клубни до весны, переживая об их сохранности, проще в следующем году вырастить цветы из семян.
— Минус в том, что цветы георгинов из семян обычно среднего размера, не такой пышной формы и простой окраски. Если вы хотите любоваться роскошными крупными цветами георгин с какой-нибудь необычной окраской, то стоит покупать клубневые георгины.
— Минус клубневых цветов – это цена, так как один клубень стоит намного дороже пакетика семян и из него вырастит всего один цветущий куст. Но при хорошем развитии и правильном хранении разросшиеся клубни георгин в следующем году можно поделить и получить уже 2-5 цветущих куста. Опытные цветоводы успешно выращивают клубневые георгины много лет и ежегодно размножают их делением для себя или на продажу.
Уход за георгинами, полученными из семян или из клубней, одинаков. Эти растения любят плодородную почву, регулярный полив и подкормки, но не любят застоя влаги в почве.
