Среди основных причин, из-за которых не образуются вилки можно выделить следующие:

Некачественный посадочный материал

     Очень часто при самостоятельном получении капустных семян случается так, что происходит её переопыление с другим растением из этого семейства. Например, с рапсом, который очень часто используется в качестве сидерата. Из-за этого получается гибрид, всходы и внешний вид которого идентичны капустным.

Недостаток солнца на грядках

     Капуста относится к очень светолюбивым культурам, даже при небольшом недостатке солнечного света она не завяжет кочаны. Поэтому только хорошо освещенные огородные участки подходят под её выращивание. Также при этом нужно принимать во внимание, то, что затенять овощи могут посаженные рядом высокорослые культуры. Например, кукуруза, подсолнечник или культуры, в начальном периоде выращивания обгоняющие наши растения в росте.

     Слишком плотная посадка тоже приводит к нехватке солнечных лучей, поэтому при высадке рассады нужно придерживаться рекомендуемой схемы.

Неподходящая почва при посадке

     Эта культура очень сильно реагирует на уровень рН почвы. На кислых почвах капуста не завяжет кочанов. Поэтому первые необходимо предварительно известковать.

Погрешности в питании

     При недостатке питания также могут не завязываться кочаны. Происходит это, в основном, при дефиците фосфора и калия. А избыток азота наоборот способен спровоцировать усиленный рост листьев у овощей в ущерб образования головок.

 Погодные условия

     Это немаловажный фактор, влияющий на развитие этого овоща. В летнюю жару при температуре выше 25 град процесс образования головок останавливается.

Недостаточный уход за овощами

     Капуста требовательна к поливу, поэтому его недостаток приводит к отставанию в росте и к замедлению процесса образования кочанов. При этом на тяжелых почвах после полива частенько образовывается корка, от которой надо вовремя избавляться с помощью рыхления. Кислородное голодание даст такой же эффект, как и недостаточный полив.

Что делаем для завязки кочанов у капусты

Обрывать или нет листья

     Чтобы помочь этой культуре завязать головки, бывалые огородники рекомендуют обрывать часть нижних листьев. Они считают, что это помогает ускорить процесс завязывания. Но этот способ не дает гарантии 100% успеха. Мало того, в определенных ситуациях это только ещё больше навредит растениям, ввиду того, что нижние листья также участвуют в общем питании капусты, а их чрезмерное обрывание способно истощить растение.

Применение стимуляторов

     Гораздо более эффективными в такой ситуации оказываются специальные препараты, стимулирующие необходимые процессы при росте, например, «Завязь». В её состав входят специальные стимуляторы и микроэлементы, которые ускоряют процессы обмена в растениях и увеличивают сопротивляемость овощей к погоде, не благоприятствующей росту.

Внесение удобрений под овощи

     Если к отсутствию головок привели погрешности в питании, подкормки помогут исправить ситуацию. Для этого используем нитроаммофоску, суперфосфат и калийные удобрения. Также хороший эффект дает настой коровяка (куриного помёта) с добавлением золы. Большую роль в развитии этой культуры играет и предварительная подготовка участка. Землю под её посадку нужно готовить с осени, также во время перекопки желательно внести органические удобрения.

Уход за капустой

     Поздним сортам капусты во время завязывания вилков требуется обязательное рыхление с последующим окучиванием. Этот приём позволяет увеличить объем корневой массы и увеличить приток питательных веществ к будущему кочану.

     Своевременный и обильный полив овощей, особенно в жаркую погоду, также способствует ускоренному образованию вилков. За сутки только одно растение может испарить порядка 8 литров воды. Норма полива для этой культуры составляет порядка 35 литров воды на квадрат земли и это в случае дождевания. При поливе в борозды этот норматив нужно ещё более увеличить. В этом случае обязательно нужно знать, что если планируется зимнее хранение вилков, то с сентября полив прекращают.

Соблюдаем севооборот

     Из профилактических мер стоит отметить соблюдение севооборота на участке и предварительную подготовку участка для капусты. На прежнее место эту культуру желательно возвращать не менее чем через 3 года. Она довольно сильно использует питательные вещества из почвы, поэтому при выделении одного и того же места одно при её возделывании, овощам просто не хватит питания. Лучшим предшественниками для неё служат бобовые культуры, например фасоль или горох.

     И, естественно, правильные предварительные действия перед началом самого процесса выращивания капусты в открытом грунте на дачном участке: не стоит забывать про выбор качественных семян от известных агрофирм. Приобретать их следует только в проверенных магазинах или специализированных торговых центрах.
