Но ведь мы часто ничего не даем почве взамен того, что огородные культуры забирают из нее, поэтому плодородие постепенно тает, урожаи снижаются.

Возможность получать хорошие урожаи овощей и фруктов, отличающихся высокой питательной ценностью и прекрасным вкусом, у нас все-таки есть. Просто надо стать приверженцем органического земледелия, научиться использовать опыт предков и современные достижения науки. Основа органического земледелия — особое отношение к почве как к живому существу. Вот и надо освоить те методы, с помощью которых создается живая почва.

Главным предметом забот должна стать земля, а не растение. Если она находится в нормальном состоянии, то все остальные проблемы решаются сами собой. Определить состояние почвы помогает наличие в ней дождевых червей — чем их больше, тем лучше. Раньше их считали чуть ли не вредителями, а потом увидели необыкновенную ценность для почвы.
