Приготовление сиропов из чабреца и мяты
В кулинарии удобно использовать разлитые сиропы. Можно ли приготовить сироп, например, из чабреца или мяты;

Впрок заготавливают сироп из чабреца. В банку слоями укладывают свеженарезанную цветущую траву, обильно пересыпают ее сахаром, уминают и выдерживают 14 дней. Заем сироп сливают в банку с плотной крышкой и храпя т в темном месте. Сироп из чабреца обладает бактерицидными и дезинфицирующими свойствами, его рекомендуют добавить в чай при продолжительном кашле, помогает он и при нарушениях работы желудка,

Сироп готовят иначе. В эмалированную посуду наливают 1 л воды и, постепенно насыпая 500 г сахара и постоянно помешивая, доводят до кипения. Когда сироп будет готов, добавляют нарезанную траву мяты (2-3 горсти) и кипятят 1 минуту. Затем посуду снимают с огня, плотно закрывают крышкой и настаивают около часа. После этого сироп необходимо сцедить и разлить в бутылки. Соотношение воды, сахара и мяты может быть произвольным.
