Свежие овощи еще продолжаем употреблять, а вот со свежей зеленью на нашем столе уже возникает напряженка. Ждать весны? Это долго. Человеческий организм нуждается в витаминах постоянно, и лучше, если они будут растительного происхождения, а не химического. Обычно что мы выращиваем на окне? Зеленый лук, изредка петрушку.

Вообще-то русский человек не очень предрасположен травки жевать, нам мясо подавай, но почему бы в конце концов не задуматься о полезности того, что едим… Каждый знает, что из себя представляет редис, но мало кому придет в голову есть не корнеплод, а листья. Да, собственно, редиса листового и не было прежде, хотя у этой культуры съедобно все, как и у редьки, зимней и летней. Хорош для получения зелени дайкон. Так что давайте, граждане, витаминиться.

Существует на свете редис листовой 10 дней F1, представляющий из себя скороспелую и чрезвычайно полезную зелень. Он малоизвестен, хотя и обладает всякими ценными свойствами, содержит в себе витамины и микроэлементы. Его нежную сочную зелень кладут на бутерброды, в салаты. Пользоваться ею начинают через две недели после всходов.

Если этого сорта не найдется в продаже, то самые настойчивые могут попытаться оставить свой заказ продавцам. Или выращивать на окне обычный. Между прочим, редис замечательно растет на лоджиях. Посев производят примерно в середине апреля в домашних условиях. Когда появятся всходы, ящик выносят на лоджию. Расстояние между растениями — 5 см.

Поливать следует чуть теплой водой (25 градусов). Почва должна все время быть умеренно влажной. А еще существует на свете эрука посевная. Предпочтение рекомендуют отдавать сорту Рокет. Он способен дать дополнительный привкус всем блюдам, в которые попадет. В Европе выращивают и потребляют это салатное, пряновкусовое и лекарственное растение.

Листья кладут в салаты, стебли — в соления, семена служат приправой. Зелень по вкусу напоминает кресс-салат. В пищу эруку используют, начиная с фазы проростков, в том числе и в зимний период. Кстати: года три назад было установлено влияние эруки на мужскую потенцию. Из-за этого, говорят, ее семена пошли просто нарасхват.

Эрука имеет и иное название — индау. Она пришла к нам, как и многие другие растения, из Средиземноморья. Зелени дает так же много, как горчица или салат. Очень неприхотлива, будет расти без всяких проблем.

Однако у нее весьма специфический вкус и довольно резкий аромат. По этой причине эрука-индау, наверное, не всем понравится. Учтите, что едят ее только в свежем виде, тепловой обработке не подвергают, иначе она приобретет неприятный привкус.
